The Founder

I've loved visual art for as long as I can remember. Drawing with pen and ink has always been my favorite medium. It was my favorite thing as a kid, through high school, through college, where I took every studio art class I could and truly felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
But when it came time to figure out how to make a living from it, I talked myself out of it. I'd spent years trying to sell my art on Etsy without much success, and I'd decided that it meant maybe I didn't have what it took to make it as an artist. So I tried other things and worked jobs like waitressing, childcare, and grocery store work…trying to suppress my resistance to a system I fundamentally disagreed with. I had always believed that trading your time and life force for someone else's vision (or soulless grinding wheels of capitalism) was its own kind of trap, and every job I took made that harder to ignore. All those years, something in me lay dormant, waiting to be taken seriously.
Underneath it all was a dream I cherished since I was a teenager: to be a digital nomad and run my own business from my laptop while I explored the world (I call this my north star — the dream that urges me onward through every challenge). Six years ago, at 26, while visiting Asheville, I felt it clearly: it was time. So I quit my retail job, bought a one-way train ticket from New York City to Colorado, and went. I remember sitting in the Denver airport for a 24 hour layover and being genuinely overjoyed. I was finally doing what I always wanted to do. I was free.
However not even two weeks later, I slipped on a wet trampoline and tore multiple ligaments in my left knee. The pain was excruciating, and I was so scared of the ambulance bill that I refused to let anyone call 911. It started raining and someone covered me with a blanket. Eventually I let myself be taken to the ER, and within a week I understood that I needed to go home. The savings I'd spent years building drained away those next few months. I moved back into my parents' house, more dependent than ever, not even knowing if I would ever walk again.
I was on crutches for five months.
Forced to slow down and be still, those months of healing were more illuminating than I had ever expected. Through deep self-inquiry, fasting, and meditation, I started to see that I'd spent years resisting the most obvious thing about me: I am an artist, and those artistic gifts are what I'm meant to share with the world. I enrolled in a graphic design certification program from my parents' couch and started over in a completely different way than I had imagined.
A few years later I had held several design roles, built a portfolio I was proud of, and expanded my creative practice online. But somewhere in that process I found a deeper intersection between identity, inner work, and creative expression.
Fathom Atelier became a place for people who feel the same pull toward work that is unmistakably theirs and rooted in the truth of who they are.
The work
I work as an intuitive guide in Asheville, NC. My role is to help people uncover who they are, and then translate that into brands, visual identities, and businesses that feel like genuine expressions of their inner world.

The Mission
Typical business advice tells you to start with a niche, brand, or business idea — and it sounds practical. But when you don't understand your deeper motivations, patterns, and natural gifts, the work you build often feels forced and disconnected from the very thing that could make it extraordinary. Fathom Atelier exists to reverse that process.

The distinct patterns behind how you process, express, and bring things into form.

The specific gifts and perspectives that are yours alone to offer the world.

Your core essence, values, and the energies that feel most native to you.
Foundations
01
At its simplest, through the experience of creating your brand, you evolve as an individual.
As you excavate yourself — discovering your patterns, desires, and what you're meant to contribute — you naturally grow into the version of yourself who can actually live that truth.
We all want lives where we feel good about what we're building. That means the deep inner work is foundational to everything you want to achieve with your business.
02
It cannot be faked. Before it becomes words, visuals, or a brand, it exists as an energetic truth in the body.
When something is aligned, there is ease, coherence, and a sense of rightness.
From a psychological lens, expression is the outward movement of an integrated world. As you understand yourself more deeply, your expression organizes itself and tells the truth of who you are without effort.
When expression is energetically aligned, people feel it immediately. There is resonance, trust, and recognition. This is what gives a brand soul — both the visuals and the integrity behind them.
Expression (when true) doesn't try to convince. It simply IS.
03
When talents are realized and expressed, they naturally benefit the collective.
As you understand yourself more deeply, a pattern of contribution becomes visible because certain qualities move through you consistently.
From a Jungian lens, individuation moves from self-knowledge and culminates in participation. As the Self integrates, it naturally finds expression in the world — whether through work, creativity, guidance, or presence.
A business, then, becomes a container for contribution, allowing your gifts to be used by people they're meant to reach.

Understanding yourself changes the way you approach work, creativity, business, and purpose. It is the foundation of everything you build. The tools inside Fathom Atelier are designed to support you on your unique journey, following your heart wherever you are called.
